Materials used in Timber framed House

All of our building are constructed using local timber, mostly Pine and Oak ( sometimes Beech), all material is kiln dried to an average Moisture content level at arouund 12% which is ideal for this type of construction:

To note all our timber is from government regualted forests meaning that  the only timber harvested is from sustainable forest, meaning they plant to regenerate what is cut:

For certain types of beams and other elements of the structure, we use and manufacture in our production engineered bonded beams -

Gypsum fiber board of KNAUF AG - Vidiwall / Vidifloor

The gypsum fiber board is widely used in the construction of prefabricated houses and Buildngs and it is a reinforced material composed of gypsum and cellulose fibers. These two materials are mixed and after adding water (in some cases binders  are added too)then the are pressed under high pressure to form sheets. After drying, the boards are impregnated with a hydrophobic agent and cut into desired sizes.

Gypsum fiber boards are used in all areas of dry wall construction and timber structures such as, cladding, lining of walls, ceilings, vaulted ceilings, floorings. They can also be used in humid rooms. In modern prefabricated houses the heavy homogeneous gypsum fiber boards are used as supporting and strengthening the structure material.

Gypsum fiber boards are fire resistant and are classed as A1 and A2 in accordance with EN 13501-2.

Plasterboard - a very popular in the recent years for building material for dry  wall construction. We use the production materials of KNAUF AG and Technogips AD, which are also certified according to EN standards.

Expanded polystyrene - Austrotherm EPS-F, Baumit, Maxim            Stone wool - ROCKWOOL, KNAUF INSULATION

Mineral wool - we use materials from KNAUF INSULATION, URSA, ISOVER and others.

        OSB boards - Kronospan JSC

                                                                            Metal ties - BMF, BILO
